Problems of ensuring food security in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan

The article discusses modern threats to food security in the southern region of the country and the possibilities of solving them in the economic security system, namely: food security, regional food market, agricultural production, production efficiency. The state of the region's economy and ways to ensure its food independence and population access to food. A comparison of 2022-2023 in terms of shortages of popular food products is also shown. Solutions to food security problems are proposed and considered. In the implementation of theoretical research, the main ways to solve the problem of food security for the country's population and stimulate the agro-industrial sector and work on projects to increase domestic production with the active use of import substitution are considered
